Location after an overdue check-in
If you choose it, live location sharing can begin when a timer expires so selected contacts have useful context.

The app is designed around consent. The person checking in chooses their trusted contacts and when location sharing starts or stops. Families can agree on a routine, but the controls stay with the user.

Good to know
Can a parent track a teenager all the time?
Continuous location sharing is optional and must be enabled by the user. A family can instead use scheduled check-ins and reserve location sharing for agreed situations.
What happens after a missed check-in?
Selected contacts can receive a notification. If the user enabled it, live location sharing can also begin after the timer expires.
